7th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Pyramisa Hotel, Sharm El-Sheikh, 8-11 November 2009

"Bridging Africa and Fostering International Development, Capacity Building, Cooperation in Immunology and Research"

Welcome Note

Dear Guests and Colleagues

It is indeed our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 7th Conference of the Federation of African Immunological Societies (FAIS) to be held on November 8 - 11, 2009; in fantastic Red Sea Resort, Sharm El Sheikh-Egypt. Sharm Elsheikh, city of peace, is the foremost tourist resort of the red sea coast and an international center for aquatic sports. If it takes place in or on the water you can do it here: windsurfing, sailing, deep-sea fishing, swimming, but, above all, snorkeling and diving. The unique underwater gardens offshore are some of the finest in the world, justifiably famous amongest divers. The warm water here is ideal for the varieties of rare fish and coral reefs, which may also be observed through glass bottom boats.

The 7th FAIS Conference will be co-organized by the Egyptian Association of Immunologists (EAI) and Fayoum University. This is the first time that FAIS Conference will be organized in North Africa. This year the focus of the conference remains consistent with its aims and objectives addressing research endeavors to improve immunology training in Africa and to foster international development, capacity building and cooperation in scientific education and medical research. The program of the conference will present a wide spectrum of topics and enormous expertise of guest faculty from all over the world which will allow you to have a closer view of the scientific advances in the field of immunology.

In our meeting, we will try to give enough time for discussions in order to increase the exchange of knowledge and to highlight the different views on clinical problems.
With all these ingredients, we are sure that the conference will offer you a highly developed scientific and social program.

I would like to express my thanks to all delegate sponsors who support the meeting.

Best regards.
Ahmed El-Gohary, M.D.
